Have You Dreamed About Working from Home?

Many women want to work from home. Since women tend to be family caregivers, a home position can eliminate a long commute. That leaves a lot more hours in the day. But when we search for home office jobs, a lot of what we see are not real jobs with salaries or hourly pay, but home business opportunities or, even worse, lists of places you might be able to find a work at home job that want you to pay up front for access.

Immunizations for Children

Immunization Information

There was a good article in Parade Magazine regarding immunizations for children. The article warned that children between the teen and “tween” years tend to fall off the radar of the health care system since they usually only visit a doctor when they are sick. Plus with so many people losing their health insurance these days kids are even less likely to see their family doctor.

According to the Center for Disease Control the shots adolescents are most likely to miss out on are:

Tdap – for tetanus and diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough) – Recommended for 11 and 12 year olds

Do Bad Credit Reports Affect Your Job Prospects?

Did you know that employers may consider your credit rating and history when they are deciding whether or not to hire you. A bad credit report could keep you from getting a job. Currently, Congress is considering blocking employer access to most credit-report data, but for now it is still legal for companies to consider it. Jason Morris, president of a company that runs background checks for businesses, says employers should have access to the data. “If an employer is on the fence about an applicant, credit reports can be valuable—particularly if the job includes fiduciary responsibilities,” he says.
